About me
Photos have played an important role throughout my life, both taking them and enjoying the photographs and stories of others.
To me, photographs are more than files or boxes taking up space. They are memories, stories and pieces of family history. They deserve to be looked after.
I therefore consider it the icing on the cake of my career to now be working as a photo organizer. Oh, those photos… there is a great need for an overview and for ‘doing something with them’. I work with both analog and digital photos. I help untangle ‘knots’, organize and safeguard, and assist with making choices (which photos do you keep?). I love to create photo books and other photo products.
Expertise
Since 2017, I have been a member of The Photo Managers, the international community for Photo Organizers. I became a Certified Member in 2020 and a Privacy Advocate in 2023. In 2025, I received the Rising Tide Award.
Collaboration
In 2018, I co-founded Foto Organizers Nederland (FON), sharing expertise through courses, workshops, and a Masterclass. I also collaborate with The Photo Managers on events, conferences, and research into sustainability in photo management.
